Stationary

I have been wanting to make note cards and journals for a few months now that I have all of the supplies, it was just finding the time. I finally forced myself to have the time so I could make these for our nieces High School Graduation. There will be plenty more of these on the site in the future and I can not wait to make more!
I am so happy with how this journal turned out. It looks almost quilted with buttons but it is paper not fabric.
Not only do I like these enough to make some for myself but I am loving being able to put the paper in the envelope. I think this is such a special touch.
Wallpaper as a craft tool, it combines my two loves, Interior Design and crafting! Plus it is "green" and a great way to recycle.

Etching Project!

I have gotten the basement under control (not that I feel finished) and now I can move on to some projects again! YEAH! I have finally started a project for me.

When getting married I really wanted to get some monogramed glass plates like my parents had but didnt want to spend 25 dollars for each plate! So I decided to go ahead and etch the plates myself. I found some glass plates and went to it.

They turned out awesome and I love them. I am not totally impressed with them close up (there are like water marks in the etched part) but for what it cost me and what I will use them for I think it is great!

Now I walk around the house looking at things glass and mirror and wonder what I would etch into them. I am sure there will be more to come!

Skirt Aprons

I found a few cute Aprons at an Estate sale about a year ago and since then have used them as inspiration to make a few myself!

Not only are they so cute, but they are great to wear when getting dinner ready (especially when you are having company over). I always spill something on myself and going back to my Catholic HS skirt wearing days of wiping your hands on your skirt, this apron is perfect for dinner prep and beyond.

Tie Tacks

Here is an item that I make for all of the Men out there. It is a tie tack of sorts, I have yet to come up with a catchy name for it.
It buttons on two shirt buttons and goes through the tie loop on the back of the tie keeping it secure when bending over or when walking in the wind. No more ties in your face!
I am selling them in packs of three, one black, one grey, and one white. I think this combination will go best with most shirts since you really do not see the tie tack while standing straight. I am thinking of bringing in a blue but have not gotten there yet. Stay tuned.
