New Fabric/New Find Friday #116

MMM cotton candy. :) These fabrics remind me of the fluffy pink cotton candy from carnivals. I love all of these pink fabrics and hope one day I have a little girl to make dresses for out of some of these fabrics. The top fabric would go well in the baby room if we have a girl, orange walls with a splash of light pink, pretty. I am not sure what I will do with any of these fabrics but I just loved them too much to pass them up at the local quilting shop.
The second fabric is a great play on a stripe, a more organic zig zag stripe with those bold colors and a hint of purple. Then you have the classic pink with white polka-dot. The second from the bottom almost looks like little green olives on the pink background Anyone want coasters for their martini parties?! :) The bottom fabric I just loved because of the yellow and pink combination, unique and so pretty. I will have to look at these again pretty soon and see what I can do with these.

Ok guys only one more month until we find out what this baby is in my belly. Any guesses? Boy? Girl? Most are saying boy and my husband still thinks girl. We will have to wait and find out.

"I Love Grandma" Onesie Set

How do you like this cute set?! I thought for sure I had already posted about these but I guess not! My good friend had a baby boy a few months ago and her mom wanted me to make this set for her. :) Of course she isn't a proud grandma at all. (WINK)
This set lasts a whole year (as long as he doesn't grow too much) and we picked four different fabric for the hearts and then I used coordinating ink colors to go with the fabric.
Here are close ups of the different onesies. This one below is a long-sleeved hopefully for fall/winter time.
I love this blue ink...has some shimmer to it. Nothing says boys can't have a little bling too.
Here is the main man wearing his onesie. Doesn't it look cute on him?!

These have already been a hit on Etsy and I have even changed the Grandma part to different names of people. They could even say I love puppies etc. So many options.

Baby Blue Cover and Burp Cloth

Didn't I say last week that I have been making a lot of breastfeeding covers lately? Well here is another one. :) This was made for a friend of mine as her baby shower gift. I was not sure what she was having and what kind of fabric that she would like so I gave her an IOU/gift card to make her a set. She picked out the fabric and I picked it up and put these together. She did have a baby boy and I think this is a pretty pattern for a mama with a baby boy.

I love this pattern, it is an all over print but not as specific as floral, dots, stripe etc. I can totally see this friend of mine liking this fabric and I hope that she gets good use out of this and/or the burp cloth.

I am not sure when I will have the next cover up to show you but I hope to get it on soon. Ok back to sewing tonight...then bed.

Bagel Onesie and Breastfeeding Cover

When my cousin called and said she wanted a onesie with a bagel on it I was dying to hear the story. :) Her best friend had a baby and their last name is hard to pronounce so my cousin's daughters called her best friend's fiance (before they were married) Alan Bagel. SO as a running joke they were calling this baby to be, baby bagel because they were waiting to find out the sex of the baby.
So here is what we came up with. A white onesie with a brown bagel screen printed on the front. Doesn't it look cute?! It looks so good you could eat it. Ok not really.
Sorry the lighting is so bad, sometimes when I take pictures I just want to get them taken and the lighting in the basement is really good for working but bad for pictures.
This is the fabric that my cousin decided on for the breastfeeding cover. I love this Amy Butler fabric and hope that mama does too. She totally thought she was having a girl but she had a boy so I am glad we picked something with a little blue in it but then again because it is floral it has some feminine qualities for mom.

I have been making a few more covers lately and I really miss making them. I fought so hard to breastfeed and loved having a cover that I could use at Church and work that made me more comfortable. I want all moms to feel comfortable and covered, if they would like to be, while feeding their baby.
