Custom Apron

A friend asked me to make a custom apron for her daughter for Christmas to match an apron that she already had. She asked for something red and didn't care about the embroidery, but doesn't it look so cute with her name on it!! Also afterward I put a pocket on it so it really would be "just like mommy's."

Baby Pouch Sling

Here is an example of the other type of baby sling that I can make. I am just going to call it a Baby Pouch Sling. It is a very tight fitting sling that goes around your body keeping baby very close. It has two coordinating fabrics (the floral on one side and the stripe on the other) and "a cell phone pocket" on each side in the opposite fabric. This pocket can also be used for binkies, keys, etc.
We have baby T in it in an upright position and we didn't want to upset her more by trying to get her down further.
This sling is a size small/petite. Since this fabric does not stretch sizing is a bit harder. I am still trying to work it out and I am thinking of using a patterned jersey fabric next time I make it, which will be soon!

Nursing cover with Matching Burp Cloth!

Here is yet another breastfeeding cover that I made for someone using that fun bright stripe, everyone loves it. It is so bright and cheery and very versatile, more girly but could be used with boys.....baby boys. ;)

I have made these really cute matching burp cloths for some people, I like the idea of matching the two items. Don't worry I will also be posting pics of some with just ribbon in case you don't like to match as much as I do. You can order these burp cloths by themselves in any of the fabrics show below.

New Craft tool!

I was just reminiscing the other day about how much fun silk screening was back in my Fibers class in college and about how great it would be to do it again. Then the very next week I see an email from Michael's that they were going to start selling the YUDU a silk screening machine!!!! I was excited! http://www.whatdoyudu.com/

Normally I don't like to use too many tools or things that I have to buy for each of my projects. I like to try to use things that I already have, old stamps, my computer, craft scissors from a few years ago. I also don't like to spend a lot of money, always going for the sale or the reused item, but I just heard about the YUDU and I just can not wait to go buy one!!! It is about 300 dollars which seems like a lot but think of all of the great things I can make. Not only can I print on all of my great fabric crafts projects I have in my head, but on my paper projects, wood, and who knows maybe even more! I am not sure when but I hope to get it before August (there is a gift card incentive attached). So be on the lookout for fun craft projects coming soon!
